The project ‘ScaleTrust – Scalable Compliance and Leadership in Ethical Trusteeship’ aims to create a scalable blueprint for data exchange in data spaces across sectors, applications and countries and at the same time to develop a transferable trustee model so that its successful establishment can achieve a future data innovation economy with higher data stocks for a larger number of players.

In the project, the Green Deal Dataspace is presented as an example of the best starting point for the development and expansion of a legally secure and trustworthy data trustee model. The Green Deal Dataspace is designed as an open ecosystem for resilience and sustainability and is geared towards optimising the circular economy and transparency of supply chains.

Two practice-oriented use cases, which deal with the problems of supply chains and emissions data that will soon have to be reported, show ways in which the use of a trustee model can help to fuel data exchange in business and science.
