On February 24, 2026, the research project ScaleTrust invites participants to its final event in Leipzig. The focus will be on the approaches, results, and experiences developed within the project, as well as their significance for establishing trustworthy data trustee models.
In the project, the Green Deal Dataspace assumed the role of the application partner and served as an exemplary blueprint for the establishment and further development of a legally compliant and trustworthy data trustee model.
ScaleTrust (Scalable Compliance and Leadership in Ethical Trusteeship) is a research and development project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) with resources from the European Union. Its goal is to establish a legally secure, scalable, and trustworthy data trustee model as a foundation for fair and decentralized data ecosystems.
Data trustees act as neutral intermediaries who responsibly manage data on behalf of data owners and share it in a controlled manner. The ScaleTrust project creates the technical, organizational, and legal framework for fair, application-, sector-, and cross-border data exchange, demonstrated in practice in data spaces such as the Green Deal Dataspace.
The final event provides insights into the project results, demonstrators, and use cases, as well as into the contributions of the project partners involved. In addition, it invites discussion on future developments, challenges, and potentials of data trustee models in data-driven ecosystems.
We invite you to learn about the results of ScaleTrust, gain new impulses, and jointly discuss perspectives for fair and trustworthy data exchange.
We look forward to your participation!
