Project details

Many companies in the Steinfurt district, some of which have international links, depend on functioning supply chains and trouble-free working conditions. Small and medium-sized companies in particular often need support in order to avoid detailed disputes with long value chains.

The “Economic resilience in the Steinfurt district (WiRest)” project aims to help with precisely this. The central component is the development of an early warning system in a digital platform. The aim is to increase the adaptability of the local economy and effectively prevent crises.

The “WiReSt” project is funded within the “Shaping the region” program of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development.
