Strong international response: GDDS Connect 2025 Workshop successfully held

The Green Deal Dataspace Connect 2025 Workshop was conducted. With more than 60 registrations and participants from 13 countries, the workshop was a strong signal of shared momentum. We are grateful to every corporation, institution, and individual who actively contributed ideas, perspectives, and energy.

Green Deal Dataspace Connect (GDDS Connect) is designed to connect, activate, and inspire interested parties while exploring real opportunities for collaboration and innovation around data spaces, green technology, resilience, and sustainability. Last Wednesday’s discussions showed how much potential there is when we bring different sectors to the same table.

We are happy to share a short snapshot of some key takeaways:

  • Strong interest in Circular Economy cluster building, with clear motivation to move from fragmented initiatives toward aligned ecosystems.
  • High relevance of collaborative data pooling, especially through data spaces that enable trusted sharing while keeping data sovereignty intact.
  • A clear international resonance with Green Deal topics, reflecting that sustainability and resilience challenges – and solutions – are deeply interconnected across regions and industries.

The workshop provided transparency on membership benefits and added value, showing how organizations can position themselves within the Green Deal Dataspace community. It brought participants together and sparked new collaborations, with many using the interactive formats to explore common interests.

At the same time, the session helped activate clusters and strengthen GDDS partnerships, making it easier to identify where joint initiatives can move fastest. By showcasing real projects and use cases that are already shaping the industry, the workshop offered tangible illustrations of what is possible today. Throughout the discussions, it became clear how GDDS can support companies in achieving their sustainability, compliance, and innovation goals.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all speakers for their participation and for sharing their insightful presentations.

What comes next?

GDDS Connect 2025 was not a one-off event, but a stepping stone. In the coming months, we will:

  • Continue the dialogue with interested stakeholders and clusters
  • Consolidate and further develop the results achieved during the workshop
  • Refine and communicate concrete collaboration opportunities around the Green Deal Dataspace and its clusters
  • Design follow-up formats that dive deeper into specific domains, use cases, and implementation approaches
  • Systematically evaluate the feedback received and use it to improve and optimize the next workshop

If you are interested in joining future activities, contributing your own use cases, participate in clusters or exploring partnership options, we invite you to get in touch with us. Together, we can turn today’s ideas into real value.

Thank you once again to everyone who took part in Green Deal Dataspace Connect 2025. We’re excited to continue collaborating with you!
